Introducing parts for changing the normal hand brake on a GR Yaris.
Changing from a normal handbrake to a vertical-pull handbrake on a vehicle with an 8-speed DAT is not that difficult, but the most troublesome part was finding the parts for the vertical-pull handbrake.
This time, we will install the vertical-pull handbrake using the minimum number of parts, without any modification.
Of the parts we ordered this time, the only part that is different between the AT and MT is the panel around the shift lever.
Since the shifter shape is completely different between the AT and MT, we didn’t encounter any issues such as interference when converting the 8-speed AT to a vertical-pull handbrake, but we don’t know what issues, such as interference, will occur with an MT.
We are not able to support installation. Please do your own research before purchasing it.
