What is Brake Hold?
After starting the engine, with the driver’s side door closed and the driver’s seatbelt fastened, pressing the brake hold switch puts the system into standby mode. When the vehicle comes to a complete stop, such as at a traffic light, the brakes are held (fixed), allowing you to take your foot off the brake pedal.

The downside…
While brake hold is incredibly convenient, allowing for smooth acceleration without having to continuously press the brake at traffic lights, the function is deactivated if you unbuckle your seatbelt, open the door, or turn the engine off. This means you have to press the switch every time you start the engine, which is inconvenient… a shame considering how useful the feature is.
